Bath – Photo Tip

Enjoy history, but look out for the new

Bath – Photo Tip

Enjoy history, but look out for the new

Bath is a very old town dating back to Roman times. The buildings are beautiful and the baths are amazing. For all the right reasons, it is a popular tourist destination.

But, of course, the much-photographed buildings are only part of the story of Bath. Surely historic towns can be modern at the same time, even though this is not immediately obvious. I kept an eye open for the contemporary while enjoying the historic, which led me to enter a tattoo shop when I saw one.

Inside it was even better than I had imagined. A great funky artist matched by a dream interior. We had fun working together on these great portraits, until a customer walked in and the tattooist had to get back to business.

I returned to the cobbled streets and joined the tourist crowds with a smile on my face. People are always more fun than even the most interesting stones.
